"Mindfulness has not only changed my life, but I see it changing the way my 3 and 5 year olds handle life as well. At first I thought they were too young, but I started doing mindful moments with them to practice for when they were older. I quickly realized that they aren't too young. Several times now they have become upset, but instead of having a temper tantrum, I have seen them take deep breaths and calm themselves, without my help. My 3 year old has even asked me to do a mindful moment with him when he was upset. It's amazing to me that they have started using these powerful strategies at such a young age. You're never too young and you're never too old to begin practicing mindfulness."

Mindfulness has been a pivotal addition to our elementary school. Students in all grades, K-6, are being taught how to identify their emotions and regulate their responses through their awareness. Classes are equipped with calm corners, which is a place for students to go when they feel the need to remove themselves from a frustrating situation in order to utilize strategies to calm themselves and return to learning. Clubs have been put in place before school to help students start the morning positively and calmly. Finally, family nights and parent training sessions are being offered so that we can support families in continuing this practice in the home. Overall, the teaching of mindfulness has benefited all students, especially those who don't yet understand how to handle big emotions. All schools would benefit from these practices.
Looking for a way to help students minimize anxiety, strengthen self-control, develop compassion for others and increase focus in the classroom? Look no further! This training helps children to be present and fully engaged in the moment. The trainers are outstanding and provide easy to follow strategies. Watch discipline referrals decrease and happy productive children emerge!
I am so thankful to have crossed paths with Debbie and to have been introduced to mindfulness. My son has been a mindful student of hers for over three years starting at the age of 6. He has learned so much from her, and I believe it has given him so many tools and helped him in plenty of stressful and/or frustrating situations. I feel so grateful that I have been able to attend classes for adults because I have taken so much from them and applied it to my daily life. For my family it's been like yoga for the mind with such positive results. I feel I've been more able to possess patience and keep in mind the importance of addressing frustration in my children or myself and take advantage of using mindful practices. Mindfulness practices are allowing me to help prepare my boys for their future in a way that is so extremely important. I can't thank Debbie enough and look forward to continue learning from her.
